Moreover, it aims to empower small farmers to become viable producers and entrepreneurs.The introduction of the PalayCheck system, vegetable production and other technologies aims to encourage our farmers to realize the importance of integrated crop management in improving the productivity and the essence of group learning in identifying strengths and weaknesses in their current practices. To make the program successful, there is a need for its comprehensive implementation.The Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), being the training arm of the Department of Agriculture (DA), does not leave any stone unturned to help and assist the farmers and their families. With this, the briefing on the School-On-the-Air (SOA) program on rice-vegetable system was held last June 1, 2010 at the Center.The briefing aimed to provide and inform the participants the general features of the program and how to go about it.
